Today is Veterans' Day, a day dedicated to my brave men and women who stood up with courage and honor to serve their country. Your sacrifices and service is priceless, Veterans' Day signifies that, but please always remember that it is not just one day when this nation is thankful to all of you for your bravery, your patriotism, your courage and bravery. Every day that we live free, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us that freedom. What you all brave men and women do, day in day out, in every part of the world is above any self serving motive, it is not due to one or the other side of politics. You do what you do because you all love life, you love freedom; you love honor and dignity for everyone. Your acts of courage, your acts of bravery, your acts of patriotism is beyond any words of "thanks", but please on this day accept my true appreciation for all you do. May God bless you all, we love you, and we honor you. Happy Veterans' Day to all of you!

To the men and women serving us in Iraq and Afghanistan I am AMAZED and deeply inspired by your stamina, dedication and bravery. Your level of self sacrifice makes me so very proud to be an American. I am an opera singer and know very little about the armed services, but the level of integrity I have seen over these past few years in the military has astounded me. You are selfless- you are courageous- and you are an essential part of us all and we love you for it! I trust that while you are gone you will take good care of one another and I keep vigil that it may be a speedy, safe return home for all of you. Peace and Love.

As a former army draftee (Korea 1953), I would hope that when you return to your home you will remember what you have learned and do something to educate people in your home state. People with political agendas destroy much of the good work you do and leave the rest of us confused and angry. Your work becomes lost in the transition. I have a reasonably nice house, in a reasonably nice community, and commute to a reasonably good job with a reasonably nice car or motorcycle. I earned these things over many years of reasonably hard work.

What I didn't earn myself is the freedom to earn these things, and the freedom to enjoy them. I owe that to each and every man and woman who puts boots on the ground, flies in the air, or sails the sea into harms way in defense of our country and way of life, and the supply chain that backs up your efforts.

THANKS! for your sacrifices for me, my family, this country!!!

My name is Pamela and I just found this website, so I hope this message gets to someone in the military.

Recently I went to the Renaissance Faire with a friend of mine who happens to be a brand new Marine. He just had gotten USMC across his shoulders, and while at the faire people kept coming up and touching him on the arm, shoulder...just wanting to very sincerely thank him. Over and over, people approached him and thanked him. So I wanted to relay this message to you all. Wherever you are, no matter what crap you may hear in the news, there are people throughout the country that can't possibly express their thanks for all that you do.

I just saw "World Trade Center." It should remind everyone why you are doing what you do. Saddam Hussein would have loved to engineer another attack like this, or worse. The problem now, in Iraq and Afganistan, is to prevent another psycopath, who would do his best to do another 9/11, from coming to power. We have, in the past, stopped rival gangs (calling themselves religious sects in the Middle East) from continuing to kill each other and take over a country or a major city in the Balkans, Chicago, and Miami, and I know you can do it again. I am deeply grateful.

Thanks to all of you for your un-yielding sacrifices. My gratitude will never be enough to replace your contributions to my safety and welfare, and to our existing freedom and way of life.

I spent 24 years in the service (5yrs active and 19 in the reserves). I was Navy all the way. During Desert Storm, my unit was activated. Never did I see or experience "support" for the troops. It was the other reservists that were recalled with me that "supported the troops".

Just know that I understand, and have you all in my prayers. Let me know what I can do.

Once again Linda Patterson has climbed another mountain of accomplishment - the White House. What can one say to thank this woman for everything she has done. Many a parent, brother or sister would have done nothing but wallow in pity after a loss of a loved one. Not our Linda, she carried on the love, honor and freedom for which her brother died to make sure that his memory would forever be with each of us that has a loved one in the services. A special thank you and here's wishing you and yours the best July 4th yet.

We had a pretty good turnout on Memorial Day downtown Warren. I think this is in support of all you soldiers in the middle east. You all deserve so much. A thank you doesn't sound like much -but THANK YOU. Be safe and know there are lots of Americans who think of you each day. (Don't listen to the rotten press, they don't have the good sense to print anything decent.) My nephew (from Bangor, ME) spent a year and a half in the Blackhawk division in Iraq. He may be going back in the near future. My brother- in-law spent a year at GITMO before he retired as a Col this year-(60 yrs old). So know this family gives you much support.

Once again my husband and I have to give a special thank-you to you Linda - you are an angel. Your brother must be the brightest star in the universe and thanking God for giving him the best sister in the world.

Even though our grandson Billy Corso has done something extra to deserve a special headline in News From The War Front, we especially wanted to ask every family member to remember our military sons and daughters this Memorial Day. Because of them we live in this wonderful country called America and have so much to be thankful for.

We salute each and everyone of you. May God Bless our military families and bring our sons, and daughters home soon.

Linda and her group are truly angels. Our grandson "Doc" Corso is in the Navy with the marines (due to security reasons I don't want to disclose where they are) and ASA got a city to adopt all 200. My son was in Dessert Storm and I truly wish I would have known about this group then. Please pray for each and every servicemen and women that are deployed worldwide. Dear Solider, Thank you for making our country more safe.  I hope that you are safe and you return safely back home.  It is probably weird being away from home and knowing that you're risking your life for other people.  I know that being away from home is weird and you don't have the protection you want but thank you for that because some people are not nearly has brave as you.  You are brave and will go out there and defend our county and are not the kind of person that sits on the couch all day just hoping that peace will come.  You are out there making the peace between the countries.  If everybody was as brave as you then maybe someday peace will come to the world and everybody in the Army will not have to go away.  - Michael

Dear Soldier, I'm very happy that you fighting for the USA I am very very very proud.  Thank you for fighting for our protection.  Do you get sad or do you cry.  I was thinking about the people in the hurricane.  There are three kids who moved here because of Hurricane Katrina are now at our school.  I am in the 4th grade.  I have a dog - do you have a dog?  I am not going to a soldier when I get bigger.  Do you like music. I do.  I like pizza and ice cold sodas.   -Jaida

Dear Soldier, Thank you for protecting our country.  Did you hear about the Hurricane Rita? At first it was going to hit really bad but then it wasn't so bad.  I was thinking what it would be like to be on a real battlefield.  I would be scared if I joined the Army.  But i don't know why.  I want to be a chef.  I am a fourth grader its kinda hard.  But thank you for fighting for our country. I wonder if you have pets at home I only have three fish because all of them died.  I am turning ten soon how old are you? My favorite hobby is to listen to music.  I LOVE HILLARY DUFF.  I want to go to all of her concerts.  What kind of music do you listen to?  Thank you once more.  - Chloe

Dear Soldier, How are you?  You are a great person.  You love the country and that is why you protect it.  You care about the country more than yourself.  You deserve an award for caring about this country even if you are in training.  We all admire you.  I think everyone should be like you because you are a hero. Heros are everywhere, and you are one of them.  God will always protect you.  Did you know that a hurricane came to where I live, but I couldn`t get out because of the traffic.  -Sincerely, Amita

Dear Soldier, I think it is very nice of you to be serveing us in the Army.  I hope you know that Hurricane Rita just past and barely anything got ruined in our city.  But, in some cities it was a disaster.  So how is it over there? It must seem very harsh because of the war. You should know how many people support our Army and Navy.  Anyways, you must be very brave to do this for us.  Thank you!!!!  - Cortney

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you and pray for your quick and safe return.  We are looking forward to giving you all a "Vegas" welcome home next year.  It is our honor to call you our "adopted" sons and daughters.  It is our privilege to live in a country you have sworn to defend.  You make us proud to be Americans, and you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this deployment.

Both my husband and I are in the military and both are Medical and you know what? we save CHILDREN,WIVES, MOTHERS, FATHERS, HUSBANDS, GRANDFATHERS, GRANDMOTHERS etc whether they are Iraqi,Nationals, Active Duty, Guard, Reserve and whomever else needs "saving"...It hurts extremely bad to have him gone from my life for the third time in four years but my goodness...he's is protecting their right to say what they say....and what gets me is that they do not see how we are helping the Iraqi people...my best friend emails me all the time from Iraq to tell me all the wonderful things that her unit has
given to the Iraqi children...school supplies, toys, clothes, food, candy...and best of all their love...please...if you understand what I mean, then take to heart one thing...

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER....

I pray everyday that my husband will come home safe but, but I want my stepson to know that if he has to one day bury his dad that he died a HERO not a man who was criticized for doing his JOB.

Your phenominal courage and your committment to your country and democracy throughout the world will not be forgotten!  The way you face your difficult task is an example that all people should respect and applaud!  I want you to know that I think most Canadians support you and your country in this very dangerous and difficult time.  The fact that, in my opinion, our government has not had the courage to commit to full support....is a cause of considerable dismay....especially those Canadians who have served in our armed forces throughout the years.  Thank you for your

Dear Troops and fellow Americans, like many Americans and members of our military, we sat intently listening to President Bushes speech a couple of nights ago.  We feel compelled to tell you how inspiring and timely his words were.  It was a message that every citizen of this great nation needed to hear, and we want to thank him and all of you on the front lines.
We join with President Bush in saluting our military men and women.  Your voluntary sacrifice to America cannot be taken lightly or easily replaced.  The unjust and partisan rhetoric of recent time, which has served only to demean and demoralize our military, while giving the enemy a grievous foothold, cannot continue.  Like our brave soldiers serving in Iraq, we the Patriots at home are equally willing to sacrifice to keep ourselves and our posterity safe.  We take very seriously President Bush's' historical and prophetic words:
"This Nation will not wait to be attacked again. We will take the fight to the enemy. We will defend our freedom."

My Marine son spent nearly a year in Iraq when the war first started.  As a mom, it was a year that tore me up. I am blessed that my son came home safe and sound and with honor in serving his country and helping the Iraqi's towards their journey to freedom. People say to me why are there still yellow ribbons around your trees, why do you still pray and cry and wear your red, white, & blue, when your son is home safe?  Because, they are all my sons and daughters, they are Americans fighting for my country, and until they are ALL HOME my yellow ribbons and red, white and blue will always fly. I am an Army veteran (my son and I argue Marines and Army), but if it weren't for him being conceived in the Army he wouldn't be a Marine today. HA!  My thoughts and prayers are with all of our soldiers and their families as they await their safe arrival back to the USA!  Thanks to all of you and I can't wait to take my yellow ribbons down!!!  Semper Fi and God Bless us All!

You can be assured that the MAJORITY of Canadians, although not as prone to be so vocal or chronic complainers, DO support what all of you BRAVE people are doing to spread the cause of freedom in a dangerous world. Your sacrifices will be remembered as a high-point in world history, when your grandchildren and their's read and study about the selfless and enormous sacrifice made by the military of the United States of America in the opening years of the 21st Century. The recent elections in both countries have clearly demonstrated that your efforts have not been in vain. If I were younger and was accepted, I would be fighting at your side.  God Bless all of you, your families, your great President and your Great Country!
