Officials with the City of San Clemente and San Clemente Chamber of Commerce were invited by San Clemente’s Adopt Unit, the Second Battalion, Fourth Marines to participate in a morning tour of the USMC Camp Pendleton Marine Base. Lt. Col Cook and Captain Anderson provided an overview of base operations and arranged for interaction with fellow Marines in various assignments on base. The City and Chamber officially adopted the 2-4 Marines on July 3, 1996 through the America Supporting Americans program which encourages communities across the country to share support and form a bond created by connecting brave military servicemen and women with civilian forces. The City of San Clemente is thankful for the 2-4 Marines’ kind gesture and for their dedicated service to America.
