The State of Kentucky has a strong presence of ASA Adopted military units, and is encouraging more of their citizen communities to join the ASA national troop support program. “Our troops are at war and need to know Americans at home support them by deeds of action.” Stated Linda Patterson. “We understand the need of our program for the welfare and compassion of our military troops; we have supported troops through three wars beginning in Vietnam”.
Last June, Patterson had the honor to visit with President Bush at the White House. The Commander In Chief emphasized the importance of organizations such as ASA and the relevance it has had on our country and its citizens. He reiterated his call for Americans to find ways to continue their efforts to support American servicemen and women, as well as their families, during this Global War on Terrorism.
