​Dear Friends and Supporters of America Supporting Americans,

With already half of the year behind us now, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to update you on the progress we've made so far in 2007.

January:

 ASA has arranged the Adopt a Unit program for cities in Alaska, Oklahoma, New Jersey and California. Our troop units who are receiving support from ASA city communities are members of the 101st, 82nd, 173rd, 3rd Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division, Marines and Army National Guard units.

February: 

​ASA traveled to Washington D.C. to speak at the Gathering of Eagles to spread the word of the ASA mission. This resulted in bringing not only a new city into our program but adding a new ASA State Representative.

March: 

ASA continues to enlist several “Foster sponsors” from Universities, colleges, high schools and youth group Lacrosse teams to support our troops. This waive of support from Lacrosse teams & coaches heighten the morale support our troops need to hear from home and we hear countless troop messages of gratitude from both they and their families. Additionally, Lacrosse coaches see the benefits for their teams and share their support program in their National Lacrosse magazines inspiring more Lacrosse teams participation.

April: 

 ASA focused on coordinating the May visit to Fort Campbell, Kentucky's Week of the Eagles event. Our goal was to bring several cities and foster representatives of unit adoptions and sponsors to meet with their units. This week long event involved cities of Malibu, CA, Burlingame, CA, San Mateo, CA., Cold Springs, KY., Harrodsburg, KY., Ocean Gate, NJ., Winchester, TN., Nashville, TN., and Ohio.

May: 

ASA traveled to Del City, Oklahoma to participate in their annual Shriners Parade celebration and the unveiling of a their new city street sign recognizing ASA Adopt-A-Unit Program and their own adopted 1345th National Guard unit.

June: 

We are happy to report that in less than six months we have either adopted or fostered at least 40 units (company size units - averaging l50 soldiers per unit) However, this does not account for the number of troops who on a daily basis make inquiries to our global website. As units return home to many ASA Cities Welcome Home celebrations… more are leaving everyday -- some on their 3rd and 4th deployments. Troops realize these are longer deployments, now l5 months and will miss holidays and cherished moments with their families and friends. While military families must endure many hardships during war years, their courage and fortitude must be supported by all of America.

ASA has accomplished a great deal on a shoe-string budget for years. These are extraordinarily trying times for America and her wartime troops. Unless we receive funding to assist ASA with basic operating expenses we will have a difficult time answering the many calls from our brave troops. We need your help to keep ASA mission moving forward! Rest assured we are committed to meet the many challenges and tasks before us. We hope you will help us. You and your friends or groups can help us to continue to make a difference by donating on ASA secured website www.asa-usa.org whatever you can: any amount will be appreciated $10, $25, or more if possible.. Your contribution is tax-deductible. We all know that the success of charitable non-profit organizations depends solely on the donations from those who support and believe in the mission. One look at ASA’s global website clearly shows our history, mission and long-standing commitment over the years. Our services are many, our cause worthy. We are all America Supporting Americans.who had a great article published in LaX Power Magazine about fostering/adopting the 10th Transportation Company through ASA. Hoooah! That outreach just brought more lacrosse teams to ASA. Kudos to all of ASA Lacrosse teams for support of all their fostered units. It must be awesome to come onto the field with your unit’s decals on your helmets, Hooah ! Great to see that spirit and pride -- you can bet your troops feel the love!
